Create A Book ! With Jamie Rodgers

So as explained in the video, to make my books I am using our NEW nesting dies! I started off with the BOOK COVER, then picked the next size down in the sets make my PAGES.

I cut two covers and three pages per book.. however this could all be changed as you wish..

I will explain the stamping, techniques of edging the pages, colouring the images and building the book itself!

So far in my projects I've created three book sizes Small

Medium

Large

And one of the things I love the most about these, is how you can dress the books for any occassion! Each one has it's own size of stand... Small 16.5 cm x 14 cm Place on a score board landscape.. and score at 2cm - 2.5 cm -4,5 cm - 10.5 cm

I think personally this stanc could have been a little thinner, maybe 12.5cm, so see what you think. Medium 21.5 cm x 18.5 cm Place on a Scoreboard (landscape).. and score at 2cm -2.5 cm - 4.5 cm - 13 cm

Large A4 piece of card

Place on a Scoreboard (landscape).. and score at 2 cm -2.5 cm - 4.5 cm -

Then from the other end Score at 12.5cm Middle Stand Support These really can vary... But as an idea..

Take a piece of card 5cmx 6cm wide, Place on the scoreboard as a landscape.. Score at 1cm - 3cm - 5cm

Basic Box Small Base - 7 1/2 x 5 1/4 inches - Score at 1 inch on all four sides Lid - 7.10 x 5.6 inches - Score at 1 inch on all four sides

Medium

Base 24.5 cm x 17.5 cm - Score at 1 inch on all four sides Lid - 9 3/4 x 7 inches - Score at 1 inch nn all four sides Large

Base -27 cm x 20.5 cm - Score at 1 inch nn all four sides

Lid -10 2/4" x 8 1/4" - Score at 1 inch nn all four sides

These boxes can certainly be changed about....

If you find your books are thicker or thinner than mine, you may well want to increase / decrease the "one inch" score on the sides and change the starting point of the card to reflect these alterations. I hope this this helps!
