Hello Crafters.....
Christmas is officially on the way now we are in December, so today's quick and easy handmade card brings that extra bit of sparkle!!
For my card base, I have chosen the Pebble Grey 8x8 Card Blank, however it would also look amazing in a Christmas red......
Step One
Firstly, I took one of the Foiled Inkables Gold Circular Frames.
I used two dies simultaneously to cut the frame down to a smaller size, and to cut the centre out of the circle.
I used a die from the Scallop Edge and Pierced Die Set and a circular die to do this.
Step Two
Taking the circle which I had cut out of the Foiled Inkables card, I placed the
Snowflakes Stencil over the top and taped it into place.
I then applied a nice even coverage of Diamond White Gemstones Glitter Texture Paste over the stencil, before removing it and leaving to dry.
(See picture below 📸 )
Step Three
Whilst the my snowflakes were drying, I took some Gladiator Red Elite Card along with the Classic Poinsettia DIe to create my flower, and then cut out the Festive Foliage Die in
I added some Rose Quartz Gemstones Glitter Texture Paste to the Poinsettia, along with
Emerald Green and Ruby Red Glitter Texture Paste to the foliage using a paint brush.
📝 NOTE - I did not want a complete covering over the holly, as I specifically like a little white showing.... it gave it the feel of 'real' snow lol!
I then left them to dry, before making up my Poinsettia!

Once I had made my Poinsettia... I wanted to add that little extra detail and magic to finish.
Perfect for this... Black Onyx Gemstones Glitter Texture Paste
I added this to the centre of my flower.....
Step Four
To make up the card......
I used foam tape to mount the Foiled Inkables onto my card blank.
Next I took the circle with the stencilled snowflakes on and applied glue to the back of it, and a touch of glue into the centre.
Next I adhered the Poinsettia to the lower left hand side and added the holly.
Almost finished now......
Step Five
The final stage.....
For the sentiment I chose to use a combination of two dies from the Sentiment Collection. The frame from the Thinking Of You Die Set and the words from the Happy Christmas Die Set.
The larger frame was cut in Pebble Grey Elite Card and the next layered frame in
Finally, I cut the words out in Gladiator Red twice and glued one on top of the other to give a little more height.
I also used foam tape to mount the sentiment on the top right hand side of the card.
I hope this super quick and easy festive card design has given you that little bit of inspiration in time for Christmas... it's not too late!
Thanks & best wishes,
Wendy x
